To create a new communication, please go to “Create New” (third tab on the TextBehind app) and select an option to compose your message. You can create a Text Letter, Text Card, Doodle For Kids, or send a Gift of Communication (donation to a non-inmate account holder).
Step 1: Select A Contact:
To select a contact, please use the drop-down list and click on the name of the intended recipient. The applicable page will appear to create your letter.
Step 2: Add Your Message
Type your text message in the text box. Please view our Help Topics for Product Specifications.
Step 3: Add Your Photos Or Videos
Please select “Choose Files” to upload photos from your camera roll or “Capture Photo” to take a new photo.
The draft of your letter (text and photos) is generally saved automatically.
After you have completed composing your letter, please click on "I agree to the TextBehind Terms of Service", and then click on the “Submit My Order” button to proceed to payment options.
Payment Options and Order Completion
If you have already purchased credits, select the drop-down menu to choose your Discount Deal or your TextBehind Store Credits. The system will show your available credit balance to pay. Alternatively, payment by credit or debit card will also be displayed. If the payment through your credit card is successful, the system will send an email notification to you as a confirmation receipt along with your letter shipping and delivery time estimate.
Please note: Your Cash Balance will appear with a zero balance even if you have credits available.
